What Kind of Flowers do you do?
We provide custom florals for weddings & events of all shapes and sizes. We also offer floral subscriptions to businesses and individuals.
How much do Wedding flowers typically cost?
Floral needs for each bride are unique and cost is dependent on the time of year, type of flowers, and volume of flowers requested. The best way to get a clear idea of what your flowers will cost is to set up a free consultation with us. We will discuss your ideas and then we’ll get creative building a custom floral proposal that fits both your aesthetic and budget. As a general rule of thumb you can expect to allocate at least 10% of your total wedding budget to Flowers.
How do I decide on a Florist for my Wedding?!
Simple! Your wedding is uniquely yours, and your flowers should be too! Choose a florist who you jive with, who's work you love, and who's style reflects you and your vision. Brides who choose us tend to want something a little more customized, and artfully created - something that embodies them truly. They also expect exceptional quality florals with exceptional execution, as do we!
Where do your flowers come from?
We can get flowers from anywhere in the world, most notably we choose the best quality blooms from British Columbia, and also source flowers from the worldwide floral Auction in the Netherlands. When available, we get local flowers from within Alberta. We do not support low quality/sweatshop equivalent Growers.
What kind of Textiles do you make?
Lauren is our textile extraordinaire, she makes traditional Japanese style kimonos in a variety of hand selected silks and patterns. They can be worn as a light jacket, dressing gown, or however you are inspired to wear them! They make excellent anniversary or bridesmaid gifts. We also create our own plant dyed silk ribbons that we use as trailing accents on our bridal bouquets and wraps on our boutonnieres. Lastly we hand draw our own floral patterns that we print on our own tea towels, napkin sets, and table runners (by way of screen printing). www.laurenyuriko.com
What kind of Photography do you do?
Currently Tasha is our in house photographer who documents all that we make and do. We often do styled shoots, floral studies, and fine art collaborations using florals, textiles, and photo magic. Coming soon to the website will be a gift shop full of lush fine art photographic prints, limited edition calendars and much more. www.tashabarrie.com
