Hello!
We are a commission based Creative Studio nestled in the heart of downtown Calgary, our medium of choice is flowers, flowers & flowers! We provide custom floral design, styling and install, for events of all sizes in Calgary, Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise, & beyond. Our studio was founded in 2015.
In addition to full service weddings and events, we fulfill holiday floral orders, weekly and biweekly residential and corporate subscriptions, and offer city wide delivery during special holidays. We are a passionate small biz with a huge capacity for high quality creative floral design. Our Clients are dear to us! We like to get to know them well, and we prefer to personally see each and every project through from design and conception to styling and install. For this reason we only take on a limited amount of orders and projects every month. Orders can be placed by telephone or online by visiting our online shop. Delivery is available city wide, and pick-up can be requested. We are often traveling throughout Calgary and surrounding areas to installing weddings or Florals for Editorial shoots. About the Co-Owners:
Foxglove Studio is the love child of Tasha Barrie & Lauren Yuriko Plante.
The duo first met while attending Alberta University of the Arts (formally known as ACAD). Tasha holds a Bachelors Degree of Design in Photography, and is formally trained in all things visual design. Lauren holds a Bachelors Degree of Fine Art in Textiles, and is well-versed in the realm of contemporary textile design.
Despite coming from different artistic backgrounds the pair share a mutual love for floral design. With Tasha’s Grandmother, Lauren’s Mother, and Aunt all practising the medium - it’s no surprise the both women have such an affinity for it. Foxglove was born out of the curiosity and determination to bring an experimental high level approach to floral design to an otherwise (at the time) very traditional floral design landscape in Calgary. The Studio is now proud to be forerunners of “New Wave” floral design, an exciting space where formal design “rules” are at once both respected and abandoned. A creative balancing act where a constant push and pull exists between what was and what can be.
Combined, Tasha & Lauren have over 20 years experience in the floral industry. With an unwavering work ethic they approach every project with absolute care and professionalism. They bring a well rounded, highly creative level of expertise to weddings and events of all shapes and sizes. Keen on exploring all creative opportunities the Studio is always up for collaboration.
